The National Homecomers Academy

Every year, 650,000-700,00 American citizens are released from incarceration. They have paid their debts to society, but they are forever stigmatized and it seems that the mistakes they have made, can never be erased. They are unfortunately, condemned to live a voiceless and unfair life. The National Homecomers Academy essentially  provides a voice to the voiceless. NHA‘s mission and vision is to empower Homecomers by helping them to redefine themselves as Learners, Contributors, Mentors, and Community Change Agents. The Homecomers work within their communities to make safe passageways for children as they walk to and from school. Help support Phelps Stokes‘ National Homecomers Academy as it strives to make positive changes within our under-served communities.
